Job Summary

At Great Plains Health, we are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards of care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and MRI technology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and reason for examination, and tailor the examination to meet the specific needs of the patient.
  • Operate MRI equipment in compliance with manufacturing specifications, selecting proper technical factors based on patient body habitus, pathology, age, and physical abilities and limitations.
  • Prepare completed images for reading by interpreting physician, and demonstrate competency in using all software applications necessary in the completion of the examination.
  • Transport patients in a safe manner, and assist patients in preparation for the examination or procedure in a professional manner ensuring patient privacy and comfort.

Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology preferred.
  • Registration or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or other Allied Health Association certification preferred.
  • Current Medical Radiographer license or Temporary Medical Radiographer as defined by 16-006.04 Nebraska Health and Human Services Regulation and Licensure - 18 months after date of issuance and not renewable or ARRT with MRI modality.
  • BLS certification required.
