At Elk Hill Farm, Inc., we are seeking an exceptional Academic Mentor for Children to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide academic support and guidance to our students. As an Academic Mentor for Children, you will play a vital role in helping our students achieve their educational goals and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide one-on-one academic support and guidance to students, including tutoring and mentoring
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of student services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid teaching certificate in subject area taught (or ability to obtain) and/or Special Education pursuing Special Education endorsement within two years
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a group environment
  • Good physical health and ability to administer behavior management techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with other staff members and build positive relationships with students and families
  • A strong commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes:
