Job Summary

The Monroe Community Mental Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Crisis Mobile Response Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective interventions to individuals in crisis, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage incoming behavioral health/substance use crisis calls and deploy to community settings as needed
  • Assess, engage, de-escalate, stabilize, and develop safety plans for individuals in crisis
  • Link and coordinate services with community providers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders
  • Ride along with law enforcement to assist with de-escalation of behavioral health/substance use crises
  • Interface with community leaders, law enforcement, and other providers to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, and be licensed by the State of Michigan. Additionally, you should have at least one year of experience working with mentally ill or co-occurring populations, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling, and licensure as a Licensed Master's Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, is preferred. Two years of experience working with mentally ill or co-occurring populations, and demonstrated knowledge of the clinical needs, symptoms, and behaviors of individuals served, are also preferred.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working Saturday-Tuesday, 9:00pm-7:30am. A $1.50/hour shift premium is eligible. The successful candidate must be able to work in a complex, detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment, and possess the ability to communicate effectively in person and/or phone.
