As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our medical services. Your primary responsibility will be to register patients for hospital-wide services, including laboratory, radiology, cardiology, clinic, physical therapy, and behavioral health. You will also be responsible for entering demographic and financial data, reviewing scheduled Same Day Surgery procedures, and communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and other stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Register patients for hospital-wide services
* Enter demographic and financial data
* Review scheduled Same Day Surgery procedures
* Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other stakeholders
* Maintain established departmental policies and procedures
* Assess gaps in policies and procedures and create necessary policies and procedures
* Understand and adhere to the Medical Center's Code of Conduct
* Familiar with the Medical Center's Mission, Vision, and Values Statements

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Two to three years scheduling experience
* Working knowledge of medical terminology
* Proficiency in insurance verification and collection
* Ability to plan and utilize time management skills
* Computer literate
* Good organizational skills
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Speaks, reads, and writes English to the extent required by the position
