Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our patients through the childbirth process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patients to determine the best course of action for their care
  • Support patients in labor, including induction, epidural assistance, and fetal monitoring
  • Assist in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, and other procedures
  • Educate patients on various interventions and procedures, including medications and labor stages
  • Assess newborns and provide care
  • Communicate effectively with the care management team, including physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • One year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
  • ADN, Diploma, or Foreign Equivalent; BSN preferred
  • AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
  • Current BLS Card (American Heart Association Only), Current ACLS Card (or within 6 months of hire), NRP certification within 6 months of hire
