We are seeking a skilled surgical technician support professional to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field of the operating room, selecting and sterilizing supplies, instruments, and special equipment for surgical procedures.

About the Operating Room
The operating room is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where surgical procedures take place. As a surgical technician support professional, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless execution of surgical procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field of the operating room using aseptic technique
- Select and sterilize supplies, instruments, and special equipment for surgical procedures
- Remove and clean soiled linens, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure equipment and instruments used during the operative procedure are assembled and set up correctly
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in nursing or related field preferred
- At least one (1) year of specialized experience selecting surgical supplies and instruments for surgical cases as needed;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
