Job Summary:

The Pediatric Intensivist will provide high-level clinical excellence in various clinical roles, delivering safe, prompt, and evidence-based medical care to patients at Northwest Pediatric Specialist, LLC. This position requires comprehensive primary care for infant, children, and adolescent patients, as well as medical and professional services in the professional practice of Nationwide Children's Hospital at Northwest Pediatric Specialist, LLC.

Responsibilities:

* Clinical responsibilities: The Pediatric Intensivist will perform medical and other professional services as required in the professional practice at Northwest Pediatric Specialist, LLC, assuming a substantially equal share of the professional workload in the PICU, including availability of call on nights and weekends. Clinical responsibilities include approximately 8, 24-hour shifts per month in the PICU and working at least an average of 7.2 intensivist shifts per month. The Pediatric Intensivist will also work 8 pediatric sedation shifts on an equitable basis with other intensivist staffing in the PICU.

* Teaching: The Pediatric Intensivist will actively participate in lectures, clinical teaching, and developing curricula for pediatric house staff and medical students, as well as other allied healthcare professionals. The Pediatric Intensivist may also be asked to provide education and training to healthcare professionals at other institutions.

Qualifications:

Education: A Medical Degree is required, and completion of a 2-year ACGME-accredited fellowship program is necessary. Licensure: A valid State of Ohio medical license is required. Certifications: Board certification in Pediatrics is mandatory. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS include the ability to lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs, sitting, talking on the telephone and in person, typing on a keyboard, walking, and working in an open environment with public contact.
