Job Overview

The Project Accountant will work closely with the project team to manage financial aspects of construction projects. This role requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with project teams to ensure the financial success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and reconcile phased GMP budgets with Preconstruction and Construction input
  • Update and maintain cost plus billings, owner schedules of values, and GMP targets
  • Create and submit monthly pay applications to Owner
  • GMP and cost report management through cost vs budget and trending analysis
  • Oversee timely receipt of pay applications with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Track subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and account balances
  • Assist in budget and billing reconciliation for change orders
  • Process and submit monthly Yard Billings
  • Oversee project time keeping from Project staff
  • Report on LCPR and trending analysis for self-perform work
  • Manage Certified Payroll for McCarthy and Subcontractors
  • Report on Labor Compliance and XBE goals/tracking
  • Track and report on Financial and Operational KPIs
Requirements:
  • 5+ years experience in an accountant role in the construction industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) typing 50+WPM
  • Able to work in a fast-paced office environment, multitask, meet critical deadlines with eye for accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to work with all levels of project staff and organization
  • Experience with Oracle a plus
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 depending on location, with possible bonus and other benefits impacting total compensation. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
