Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health Charlotte. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing basic radiologic exams and venipuncture procedures, utilizing radiation safety practices to provide high-quality examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic exams as ordered by physicians.
  • Conduct routine exams in accordance with department standard operating procedures.
  • Check requisitions for physician notes and/or special instructions.
  • Consult with Radiologists or physicians as necessary.
  • Select proper technical factors on individual patient basis.
  • Operate equipment as directed by demands of individual exams.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate patient records.
  • Obtain specimens and perform certain diagnostic laboratory tests as ordered by physicians.
  • Prepare specimens for transport to Medical Center or State Lab for procedures not performed at the specific facility.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Current registry with ARRT or ability to obtain registry within 6 months of hire date.
  • 1 year experience preferred.
  • BLS required per policy guidelines.
