Required Qualifications

Must possess a national certification as a Pharmacy Technician from either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); must be registered with the relevant state pharmacy board within the stipulated timeframe.

Physical Demands
Role may require prolonged periods of standing and the ability to walk significant distances daily. Candidates should be capable of reaching items above shoulder height and lifting weights up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule
Dayshift; operates on a 7 on / 7 off schedule.

Shifts include:
7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
or
7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Position Overview
The Senior Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in supporting Pharmacists by ensuring the provision of medications to patients within a hospital environment. Responsibilities include compounding both complex sterile and non-sterile formulations and engaging in the delivery of comprehensive pharmaceutical services across various departments.

This role demands a high level of reliability and the ability to manage priorities effectively. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.

Supervisory Duties
No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position.

Preferred Education and Experience
An associate or bachelor's degree along with experience in hospital or retail pharmacy settings is preferred.
