Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Professional to operate CT scanners and perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and be able to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
About the RoleThis position involves working 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating and calibrating CT scanners to ensure high-quality images are captured
- Preparing patients for scans by explaining the procedure and ensuring they are comfortable
- Verifying patient information and preparing the imaging equipment
- Positioning patients properly on the CT table to obtain the necessary images
- Administering contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity
The Diagnostic Imaging Professional will be responsible for:
- Patient Preparation and Communication: preparing patients for scans, verifying patient information, and positioning patients properly on the CT table
- Operation of CT Equipment: operating and calibrating CT scanners, administering contrast agents or dye injections, and monitoring the equipment during imaging
- Image Quality and Review: reviewing CT images for quality, working closely with radiologists to ensure images are of sufficient quality, and repeating or adjusting scans as necessary
- Patient Safety and Comfort: following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure, maintaining a sterile, safe, and clean environment, and ensuring proper patient positioning
- Collaboration and Communication: working closely with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging procedures and assist in diagnosing medical conditions
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A strong background in radiology and experience operating CT scanners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional certification and licensure in radiology
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week. We also offer a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Other benefits include:
