Job Title: Sales Representative - Renewable Energy

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Preformed Line Products. As a Sales Representative - Renewable Energy, you will be responsible for selling our Solar and EV products and services to established customers and developing new prospects in domestic markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine key accounts with the most potential for sales growth and develop strategies to increase sales.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers at identified accounts.
  • Coordinate routine and effective sales calls with key decision-makers.
  • Coordinate product field trials and demonstrations with customers.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding products or services.
  • Assist the finance department with delinquent customer accounts.
  • Coordinate effective working relationships with Distributor sales networks.
  • Assist with identifying and investigating new product opportunities with customers.
  • Work with Product Management and R&E to investigate market or product issues with customers.
  • Monitor and control period expenses and product samples.
  • Provide sales forecasts as required.
  • Communicate through timely trip reports or territory updates.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; sales courses or college degree desired.
  • 2-5 years of previous successful field sales experience, outside plant construction experience, and/or engineering-related experience preferably in the markets we serve.
  • Ability to use a computer and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 30-40% of the time.
