About the Role:

The Sepsis Coordinator will report to the Infection Prevention & Control (IP&C) Manager and provide overall management of the Sepsis Program. This role maintains compliance with regulatory standards and ensures optimal care for the sepsis population. The Sepsis Coordinator interfaces with internal hospital departments and staff in coordinating the care of sepsis patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and ensures optimal care for the sepsis population.
  • Interfaces with internal hospital departments and staff in coordinating the care of sepsis patients.
  • Works in close collaboration with Medical Director(s) in management of the Sepsis Program and provision of quality services for the sepsis population from a multi-disciplinary approach throughout the continuum of care.
  • Assists and supports the IP&C Manager with planning, implementation, evaluation, standardization, and continuous improvement of the infection prevention and control program in the hospital.
  • Identifies and implements infection control goals and objectives related to surveillance, data analysis and reporting infection prevention and control practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 year's clinical experience in the hospital setting with knowledge of new trends and techniques in healthcare.
  • BSN and/or certification in specialty preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Current NYS RN Licensure.
