Job Summary:

We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Academic Foundations/Math courses at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, engage students, and promote academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver learning-centered instruction, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Prepare and teach courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies.
• Develop and implement assessments, evaluations, and grading systems.
• Provide clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines to students.
• Engage students through interesting and relevant assignments, promoting real-life learning outcomes.
• Foster a positive and respectful learning environment, encouraging student participation and growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure course and program learning outcomes are met.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education or a closely related field with a concentration in mathematics.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in mathematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with educational technology and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mathematics Education or a closely related field with a concentration in mathematics.
• Previous experience teaching mathematics at the academic foundations level.
• Experience with online teaching and/or instruction in higher education.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Familiarity with innovative instructional and academic support systems and programs.
