Job Summary

As an Independent Optometrist, you will have the autonomy to establish your own practice within a Sam's Club location. This opportunity allows you to provide high-quality eye care services to patients while maintaining control over your schedule, fees, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive eye exams and vision care services to patients
  • Establish your own schedule and hours of operation
  • Set your own fee schedule and retain 100% of exam/professional fees
  • Have access to equipment and instrumentation for a fair market value
  • Option to opt into administrative and/or Opt-Tech support services (if state allows)
Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school
  • Valid state optometry license
  • Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school (for certain locations)
  • Valid state ophthalmology license (for certain locations)
  • General Liability Certificate
  • Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
  • W-9
Benefits

Education and Training

Walmart offers a paid education benefit program, Live Better U, which provides full-time and part-time associates with access to high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
