Polysomnographic Technologist Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist Lead to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our sleep disorder team, you will be responsible for providing functional direction to clinicians and office activities, offering input to technical procedural guidelines, and acting as a resource for lab personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the activities of clinicians and office staff in the absence of the manager.
- Provide treatment, management, diagnostic testing, control, education, and care of patients with sleep and wake disorders.
- Analyze, monitor, and record physiologic data during sleep and wakefulness to assist in the treatment of disorders, syndromes, and dysfunctions that are sleep-related, manifest during sleep, or disrupt normal sleep activities.
- Provide therapeutic and diagnostic use of oxygen, the use of positive airway pressure including continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bilevel modalities, adaptive servoventilation, and maintenance of nasal and oral airways that do not extend into the trachea.
- Meets Medical Board of California requirements for PSGT licensees or meets Respiratory Care Board of California requirements for respiratory care practitioner program for RCP licensees.
- PSGT-Polysomnographic Technologist from Medical Board of California or RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- 8 years of recent experience.
- Knowledge of basic management principles and methods.
- Advanced understanding of computers and digital networks for digital data analysis and trouble shooting computer malfunctions.
- Proficiency in Polysomnography Scoring and teambuilding.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, cardio-respiratory function, neurophysiology and neurology.
- Understanding of physics, medical electronics, in-depth medical terminology, with emphasis on pulmonology, neurology, and sleep-related pharmacology.
This is a full-time position working nights with a schedule of 8 hours per shift, 5 days per week. The position is non-exempt and requires 40 hours of work per week.
Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. The salary range for this role is $49.68 to $62.09 per hour, and the pay range may vary based on location. Compensation takes into account several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications.
