We are seeking an experienced Construction Defect Attorney to join our team and handle complex litigation cases.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of construction defect matters from inception through trial or settlement.
- Work closely with clients, expert witnesses, and other team members to develop legal strategies, pursue claims, and achieve favorable outcomes for plaintiffs.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage discovery processes, including depositions, document review, and interrogatories.
- Develop case strategies in collaboration with expert witnesses, including engineers, architects, and construction professionals.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress and advise them on legal strategies.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- 3+ years of litigation experience with a focus on construction defect or complex civil litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Florida construction law, building codes, and related statutes.
- Trial experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a large caseload and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Team player with a passion for advocating for plaintiffs in construction defect cases.
