Procurement Expert

Planate Management Group, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Specialist to develop and guide our procurement and contracts strategy.

This is a part-time and remote position that requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, contracts management, or a related field.

The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring our team, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, and providing policy guidance on procurement and contract management processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement/contracts (acquisition) strategy
• Train and mentor the team, focusing on skill development and knowledge transfer
• Provide policy guidance on procurement and contract management processes
• Advise on negotiation strategies, contract terms, and modifications
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with procurement objectives and best practices

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in procurement, contracts management, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, contract negotiation, and management
• Strong knowledge of federal procurement regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
