Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. As a key member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will provide first-contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for adults and DoD beneficiaries according to standards of care, the PCMH model of care, Army policy, and relevant regulations.
- Serve as an Internal Medicine Physician in a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) setting, providing a broad spectrum of health services for adults.
- Lead and provide technical oversight of a multidisciplinary clinical team responsible for panel management and patient care.
- Teach and provide consultation to other healthcare providers as assigned.
- Complete required documentation and records pertaining to all medical services provided.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong foundation in internal medicine, with a minimum of 4 years of residency training and equivalent experience. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
- Licensure: Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Graduate Training: At least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
