Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Teaching Fellow in Sociology at the University of California, Merced.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching lower- and upper-division courses in Sociology, including Summer Session 2024. The Teaching Fellow will lead discussion sections, attend lectures, grade assignments, and hold office hours.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Sociology or a related field
  • Maintenance of a qualifying grade point average
  • Academically eligible to hold the appointment
  • Registered UC Merced graduate student in full-time residence
  • Passed an Oral English Proficiency Examination (if applicable)
Additional Qualifications

Teaching Fellows must be advanced to candidacy for the Ph.D.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $69,139.00 annually, based on a 25% to 50% time appointment. The University of California, Merced offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
