Burien, Washington, United States Travel Nurse Across America Full time

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Burien, Washington. As a US Tech, you will be responsible for using the ultrasound machine to ensure accurate images are passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. You will also prepare patients for ultrasound testing and maintain accurate patient records.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
  • Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
  • Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
  • Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
  • Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system


Requirements:
  • Must have 1 year of experience
  • Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required


As a US Tech, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. You must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
