Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to children and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Practice: Utilize your expertise in pediatric nursing to provide safe and effective patient care, adhering to CCMC policies and standards.
- Population-Specific Care: Demonstrate knowledge of the unique needs of children and families, and apply this understanding to provide culturally sensitive care.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, and contribute to the leadership of the unit through delegation and preceptor/mentor activities.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and timely documentation, and effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Patient and Family Partnership: Partner with children and families to evaluate outcomes, monitor responses to treatment, and provide education and support.
- ASN required upon hire; BSN preferred upon hire and required within 3 years of hire.
- Preferred 2-5 years of PICU and/or adult critical care experience; minimum 2 years of pediatric experience will be considered on an individual basis.
- Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse licensure required and maintained thereafter.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR in adult, child & infant required upon hire.
