Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will contribute to patient assessments, address physical and psychological needs, and provide direct care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute valuable data to patient assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address the complex physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and their families throughout the continuum of care.
- Deliver comprehensive patient education, identify family needs, and facilitate effective discharge planning during hospitalization.
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including administering medications, performing diagnostic studies, and adhering to policy and procedure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of your interventions and the plan of care based on patient response.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the implementation of evidence-based practices.
