Project Support Officer

The Project Support Officer will provide critical support to the Public Drunkenness Reform and Quality Review teams within the Operational Communications Division of Victoria Police. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders, including ESTA, to facilitate the implementation of Public Drunkenness Reform and Quality Review initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate referrals to outreach services in conjunction with Police Communications Liaison Officers and Police and Protective Services Officers in the field.
- Make decisions on appropriate courses of action relating to referrals to outreach services.
- Maintain records pertaining to requests received and actions taken.
- Learn and become proficient in the use of ESTA's Computer Aided Dispatch solution (CAD).
- Support all objectives of the Public Drunkenness Reform Project (PDRP) by fostering positive relationships with ESTA employees and promoting the PDRP, internally and externally.
- Report periodically to the Project Officer.
- Facilitate requests for the provision of CAD data and audio recordings.
- Maintain records pertaining to requests received, requests actioned, and results provided to requestors.
- Manage and maintain a proper and efficient system for the sharing of data and audio recordings.
- Ensure data safety and security according to Victoria Police and ESTA guidelines and policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident, calm, mature, and considerate manner.
- A desire to learn and share learning with others.
- The ability to work unsupervised.
- Demonstrated record of ethical behavior and a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrated administration skills, including experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A flexible and agile attitude to working a variable shift rostering pattern.
- Knowledge and/or understanding of the importance of privacy principles and the ability to show resolve in the face of adversity.
