Job Summary

The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a highly skilled physician scientist to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting innovative research in medical oncology, including bench and translational studies, genomics, precision medicine, and therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in medical oncology, including bench and translational studies, genomics, precision medicine, and therapeutics
  • Develop and implement research programs in collaboration with other faculty members
  • Engage in active collaborative research and build clinical and/or translational research in the division
  • Obtain and maintain independent extramural funding
  • Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health
Requirements
  • Terminal degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship training program in medical oncology
  • Experience in translational research, with a track record of successful publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching
  • Current or high potential to obtain extramural funding
