Hospital Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced chef to join our team as a part-time Hospital Chef at Andwell Health Partners.

• Menu Planning and Preparation: Collaborate with our dietician to design and prepare healthy meal options for our patients, utilizing your expertise in various cooking techniques such as baking, frying, roasting, steaming, broiling, grilling, serving, and carving.
• Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook food items including baked goods, desserts, meats, fish, poultry, shellfish, vegetables, garnishes, soups, and sauces according to industry standards.
• Inventory Management: Plan and coordinate food production to meet serving schedules, monitor food quality, and make corrections as needed. Utilize leftover foods according to industry standards and schedule other kitchen help as required.
• Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, regularly cleaning the refrigerator and freezer, and ensuring that meals are delivered on time at the right temperature, following patient requests.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma preferred, one year of cooking experience or equivalent training.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50lbs, frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, occasional climbing of stairs, and requires fine motor skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
