**About the Role**

El Comeback, a nonprofit program from ConPRmetidos, is seeking a highly skilled Settlement Attorney to join their team in Puerto Rico. As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for managing the settlement stage of cases and providing expert guidance to clients throughout the legal process.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the settlement phase, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork to finalize their settlements, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with opposing counsel to negotiate and finalize settlement agreements, fostering strong relationships and resolving disputes efficiently.
  • Ensure all settlement terms are thoroughly documented and agreed upon by all parties, maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Work closely with other attorneys to ensure cohesive and efficient case management, driving results-oriented outcomes.

**Requirements:**

  • Hold a Juris Doctor degree and be an active member of the Puerto Rico state bar.
  • Be willing to work a 11:30AM-8:30PM schedule, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Possess complete fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken), enabling effective communication with diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the role.
  • Demonstrate experience with client-facing communication, showcasing excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Be prepared to work on-site, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
