Strategic Financial Leader for Ambulatory Care

Community Health Programs Inc. is a leading nonprofit health care provider and community partner, dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare services to the residents of Berkshire County.
Salary Range: $200,000 - $225,000 per annum.
About the Position
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Community Health Programs Inc., including budgeting, financial analysis, cash flow management, and revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Manage the finance team and provide leadership to ensure effective financial planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic plans and make key financial decisions.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and third-party payers to optimize revenue and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure timely filing of tax returns and other regulatory submissions.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on financial matters and ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to financial management.
- Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial management and apply this knowledge to improve organizational performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, funders, and partners.
- Represent the organization at external events and meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in finance, including 5 years in healthcare.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and electronic health records systems.
- Familiarity with federal and state tax laws and regulations.
