Compensation: $25.50 per hour

Incentives: Sign-on bonus available

This role is designed for dedicated individuals willing to work 24 hours per week, specifically every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Enjoy an additional Weekend Warrior Incentive of $5.00/hour, along with a $1.25 per hour bonus for weekend shifts and another $1.25/hour for hours worked during the night.

Role Responsibilities
The Certified Caregiver (CC) acts as a primary support for residents during their scheduled shifts in long-term care settings. This position involves delivering resident-focused nursing assistance and daily living support under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN).

Possessing knowledge of and providing age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and emotional needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.

As a vital member of the nursing team, the CC is responsible for adhering to infection control protocols and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Assists residents with essential health care tasks, including daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs, while also offering emotional support and personal care.

Facilitates resident mobility by assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment, and provides range of motion exercises as needed.

Completes tasks related to meal preparation and dining, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. Aids residents during meals and snacks, providing hydration and nutritional supplements as necessary.

The CC supports healthcare providers and nursing staff with procedures when required. Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activities, and dietary needs. Communicates any changes in residents' conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive specimens and monitors vital signs. Maintains cleanliness in residents' living areas through housekeeping and laundry services. Encourages participation in wellness and recreational programs and may engage in departmental committees as needed.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.

Minimum age requirement of 16. Previous experience in long-term care settings is advantageous.


Must possess a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State Board of Nursing, or be certified within four months of employment by enrolling in a training program.

CNA training and certification will be provided by the organization.

Must successfully complete annual competency assessments and maintain a record of continuing education credits, with a minimum of 12 hours required each year. All necessary certifications must be kept up to date.

For applicable states, registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry may be required.

Depending on facility needs, this position may require a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, along with medical qualifications to perform essential driving functions as per organizational policies.
