Mid Michigan Health is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist to join our team in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to adolescent patients and their families.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating individual and group therapy sessions, as well as conducting collateral contacts and family sessions. You will also assist in screening IOP program applicants, completing admission assessments, and creating treatment plans. Additionally, you will participate in treatment team meetings to review patient progress and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Individual and Group Therapy: Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group therapy sessions to promote positive behavioral changes and improve overall mental health outcomes.
  • Collateral Contacts and Family Sessions: Conduct collateral contacts with patients' families and significant others to enhance communication and support.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Assist in screening IOP program applicants, complete admission assessments, create treatment plans, and provide ongoing case management and discharge planning.
  • Treatment Team Meetings: Participate in treatment team meetings to review patient progress, discuss challenges, and develop strategies for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field, be licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychologist in the State of Michigan, and have at least one year of experience in delivering mental health services. We also require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within one month of hire.
