We're seeking a talented Underwriting Trainee to join our team at The Hartford. As an Underwriting Trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience in underwriting, working closely with our sales teams, experienced underwriters, and other leaders. Our 14-week Commercial Underwriter Onboarding and Risk Education (CORE) development program will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain real-world experience in underwriting, working with our sales teams and experienced underwriters
  • Develop skills in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives
  • Participate in our CORE development program, gaining valuable insights and skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and Insurance experience
  • 3+ years of Insurance experience preferred
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations, and propose solutions
