Job Overview:
RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is a leading provider of clinical nutrition services, seeking an experienced Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with patients to develop personalized nutrition plans, utilizing evidence-based practice guidelines and whole health principles.

About the Role:
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $36-$45 per hour, with opportunities for renewal based on performance. As a Clinical Nutrition Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans for medical nutrition therapy, and tailoring diet prescriptions to meet each patient's unique needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) for assigned patients.
  • Develops and implements individualized plans for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with patient goals and objectives.
  • Tailors diet prescriptions to each individual patient according to physical and metabolic needs.
  • Utilizes evidence-based practice guidelines and whole health principles to develop shared goals with patients and formulate plans of care.
  • Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy interventions.
  • Evaluates patient response to care based on identified outcomes and reviews plans as necessary.
  • Documents nutrition care plans in patient medical records.

Nutrition Education and Coordination of Care:
As a Clinical Nutrition Specialist, you will also assess educational needs and provide nutrition education and counseling for individuals and groups. This includes identifying drug-nutrient interactions, providing follow-up education, and determining when consultation or referral is necessary.

Work Schedule:
The typical work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday during business hours, with some flexibility for weekend work. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
