Job Summary:

As a Nutrition Partner at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper setup and delivery of meals and supplies for patients and non-patient food service. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the patient care team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect patient meal and snack choices according to diet order, ensuring that patients' age-specific, food allergy, religious, cultural, and food preference needs are met.
  • Prepare tray tickets for tray-line and collect food and supplies for service, assembling patient meals and snacks accurately according to diet order.
  • Receive and store product deliveries, organizing new products in proper location and discarding dented products or extra cardboard.
  • Stock assigned areas with products, including condiments, paper goods, food, and beverages, according to defined par levels or procedures.
  • Organize and clean and sanitize assigned pantry and kitchen surfaces and equipment, maintaining accurate records of food storage temperatures and other data.
  • Prepare orders for food, beverages, paper goods, and supplies, collecting and maintaining statistical data and/or financial records as assigned.
  • Monitor patient information, including admission, discharge, transfer, and diet order changes, initiating follow-up actions as necessary.
  • Utilize facility technology to complete assigned tasks, including generating data, printing, sending, saving, deleting, copying, and entering data in PC or handheld device.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, with data entry skills utilizing Word or Excel database systems.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other individuals within the organization.
