Join the North County Transit District team as a Controller, responsible for ensuring the proper accounting and reporting of financial activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, sound business practices, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Manage and analyze financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including the Uniform System of Accounts and the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Provide financial guidance and support to management and staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of eight years of professional finance experience, including three years at a supervisory or management level.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Advanced knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
