Salary Information

The estimated hourly salary for this position ranges from $35 to $40 USD per hour, depending on experience and location.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for field technicians who can work independently in an unsupervised location, facing clients directly. Key responsibilities include maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting errors, ensuring internet connectivity, running diagnostic tests, maintaining servers, repairing computer hardware, and providing technical support.

Techs may also be responsible for installing and configuring TV, surveillance, automation, and networked systems in residential and commercial spaces. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required for this role, as well as tools and expenses covered by the company.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience providing tech support
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • PC imaging, hardware diagnostics, and configuration skills
  • Familiarity with networking devices, including TCP/IP, Routers, WAPs, Wireless, Mesh, and others
  • Ability to install and configure smart home/IoT products
  • Aptitude for helping people understand technology
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Benefits and Requirements

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, requiring self-motivation and strong communication skills. A strong knowledge of general construction and electrical principles is also necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and lifting items unassisted.
