Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Anesthesia Specialist to join our team in New York. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced nurse anesthetist to work collaboratively with anesthesiologists to ensure seamless patient care. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining accurate records, ordering supplies, and expediting operating room schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia interviews with patients
  • Assemble and check equipment for safety and proper function
  • Stock medication carts and anesthesia machines
  • Order supplies and medications as needed
  • Assist anesthesiologists in preparing patients for procedures
  • Maintain adequate anesthesia supplies and equipment
  • Start IV lines and set up IV fluids for patients in the pre-op holding area

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) and current licensure to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) is also required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $240,000-$290,000 per year.
