We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Water Resources Engineer or Scientist to join our team in Bedford, New Hampshire, Acton, Massachusetts, or Hamilton, Massachusetts office. As a key member of our team, you will work on complex projects involving innovative urban stormwater management and natural surface water systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support projects involving municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) compliance, watershed planning, stormwater best management practice design, sediment assessment and remediation, and environmental permitting;
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations;
  • Design stormwater best management practices;
  • Prepare technical reports;
  • Prepare local, state, and federal permit submittals pertaining to surface water and land use regulations;
  • Prepare proposals for new assignments;
  • Provide litigation support services, including related to Clean Water Act compliance;
  • Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
  • Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring;
  • Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources or other science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E., P.G. CPESC, CPSWG). (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of research or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience with modeling and design software tools such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
