About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner and Scheduler to join our team at Sullivan Environmental Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules, ensuring all project activities align with overall objectives. This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) to track project timelines and milestones.
  • Closely collaborate with project managers, project teams, and stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment on scheduling expectations.
  • Monitor project progress, update schedules accordingly, and identify potential delays, proactively recommending solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Generate scheduled and unscheduled reports on project status, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and present updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Work closely with project managers and management to identify scheduling risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Assess the impact of changes in scope on the project schedule and communicate these changes as directed to all impacted stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of scheduling processes, decisions, and changes for future reference.

Requirements:

  • Educational background in project management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a project scheduler or in a similar role, preferably in a maritime-related field.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Primavera P6 experience and proficiency required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, in a team environment, and manage multiple priorities.

  • The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
