Admission Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Admission Counselor to join our team at Baldwin Wallace University. As a key member of our admissions staff, you will be responsible for traveling to secondary schools, college fairs, and other recruiting events to engage with prospective students and their families. You will also conduct interviews, review applications, and assist with enrolling academically qualified students in accordance with the university's mission.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about higher education and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our Director of Undergraduate Admission and other team members to achieve our recruitment goals.

Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Travel to secondary schools, college fairs, and other recruiting events to engage with prospective students and their families.
• Conduct interviews with prospective students and their families.
• Review applications and assist with enrolling academically qualified students.
• Assist with implementing admission visit programs.
• Supervise student workers or volunteers as needed.
• Manage projects as assigned.
• Adhere to all college and departmental policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent public speaking, communication, customer service, analytical, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to the value and mission of a comprehensive education, as well as to diversity and inclusiveness.
• Ability to travel for recruiting purposes and work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Familiarity with social media, including content creation, is preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Limited physical effort required. No or limited exposure to physical risk.
