Recreation Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Recreation Coordinator to join our team at Hope Housing Of Miami Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities for our clients, as well as ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Activity Planning: Develop and implement recreational activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our clients.
2. Client Support: Provide support and guidance to clients in a respectful and empathetic manner, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
3. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and supplies used in recreational activities.
4. Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth program delivery.
5. Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on program effectiveness and client feedback.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation, psychology, or related field preferred.
• Experience: One-year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential or day program setting.
• Certifications: DDNA certificate in good standing or willingness to obtain upon employment.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, fluency in English required.
