Pediatric Neonatologist

Welcome to the West Virginia University Health System, where we are seeking a highly skilled Neonatologist to join our established group in our level IV NICU practice.

The successful candidate will provide excellent patient care, work collaboratively with other pediatric subspecialists, actively teach medical students, residents, and fellows, supervise neonatal advanced practice providers, and improve the care of neonatal patients through quality improvement or research.

The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia's largest health system and the state's largest employer. Our new 150 bed Children's Hospital, opened in 2022, offers 52 NICU beds, including twin suites and a nesting room for parents preparing for discharge.

The NICU adjoins our Birthing Center, a 30-bed obstetrical unit with a dedicated infant resuscitation room. Prenatal consultations are performed in the on-site maternal-fetal medicine clinic.

• Duties: Provide excellent patient care, work collaboratively with other pediatric subspecialists, actively teach medical students, residents, and fellows, supervise neonatal advanced practice providers, and improve the care of neonatal patients through quality improvement or research.
• Qualifications: MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, eligible to obtain a state medical license, completed an accredited pediatrics residency program, and fellowship trained and board certified/eligible in neonatology.
