We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at The Nottingham RHCF in Jamesville, NY. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help patients with mobility by aiding in walking, transferring, and positioning.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist in feeding patients and ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Respond to patient calls and provide emotional support and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by changing linens, tidying patient rooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Document patient information and report any observed changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the welfare of patients.
- Assist in transporting patients to various departments within the healthcare facility as needed.
- Current NYS certification as a certified nursing assistant.
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and rotation to weekend schedule to meet resident needs.
- Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and other employees and cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.
- Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
- Ability to report changes in resident's condition and other pertinent information.
- Ability to take and record information and basic records.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software rapidly.
- Competitive pay rate: $22.00 - $25.19 per hour.
