The Role

We seek a highly skilled Facilities Operations Director to manage, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Stewarding department in an effective and efficient manner. This role is responsible for maintaining smooth operations, maximizing labor efficiency, ensuring safe working conditions, and upholding the highest standards of sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all stewards maintain a friendly, service-oriented approach, providing feedback and training as needed.
  2. Comply with Fairmont standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
  3. Schedule supervisors and stewards to meet labor standards and assign breaks.
  4. Accurately process payroll bi-weekly and approve timecard edits.
  5. Assist with managing the night cleaning company and provide input on related operational matters.
  6. Develop and implement systems for proper maintenance and train employees accordingly.
  7. Collaborate with the Chef, F&B Director, Catering team, and Banquets team to anticipate equipment needs and ensure availability.
  8. Provide assistance during Banquet functions and oversee inventory management.
  9. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least one year of leadership experience in Stewarding or a related department.
  • Two years of experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
