Job Summary

Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists.

Responsibilities

• Prepare histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists.
• Maintain equipment, perform quality control, and have knowledge of extenuating factors that can affect results.
• Interact with healthcare professionals and other staff, and may perform tests on tissues under the direction of a pathologist.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in biological health or social science or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• One (1) year of experience working in a clinical histology lab.
• Histotechnician or Histotechnologist Certification (HTL, ASCP), or eligible for certification.
