Job Summary:

Cox Automotive is seeking a highly skilled Dispatch Manager to oversee and manage the company's dispatch operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of services to our customers. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership to achieve performance and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement dispatch strategies in line with company objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the dispatch center, including scheduling, staffing, and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance against key metrics and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve client experience.
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed Technician changes.
  • Implement specific customer requirements.
  • Investigate service failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in selection, qualification, or performance evaluation for direct reports.
  • Oversee dispatcher call quality and conduct audits.
  • Train, coach, and develop dispatch employees.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field.
  • 1+ Year of experience in management or Lead role.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in dispatch management software systems.
  • Strong business acumen and a keen eye for identification of business improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to investigate problems and identify root causes and associated factors.
  • Performs duties with precision, accuracy, and a sense of urgency.

Physical Demands:
  • Employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, and walk.
  • May involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.

Compensation and Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
