Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director, Technical Enablement to lead our Technical Enablement Team. As a key member of our Sales organization, you will drive the development and execution of programs that empower our technical sales pros and advance our broader field teams in the art & science of solutions selling.

In this role, you will lead a critical team, establish expertise, drive cross-functional engagement, project manage, collaborate with Sales Readiness, and uphold Atlassian values.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a Critical Team: Build best & next practices within technical enablement, testing & learning, then establishing common cadences to meet the advanced needs of our sellers while helping the Technical Enablement Managers grow & thrive
  • Establish Expertise: Cultivate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Atlassian technologies, products, solutions, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies to lead the team effectively
  • Drive Cross-Functional Engagement: Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute enablement strategies, ensuring alignment and successful implementation of scalable programs
  • Project Manage: Demonstrate strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills to manage multiple projects and anticipate potential challenges, ensuring timely delivery and follow-up
  • Collaborate with Sales Readiness: Work closely with the Sales Onboarding and Ongoing Readiness teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive enablement initiatives
  • Metrics and Improvement: Establish benchmarks, track performance, and report on success metrics, using insights to continually refine and enhance enablement programs
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, or sales training role within the technology space
  • Product Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of Atlassian solutions and market trends, with hands-on experience in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, and more
  • Cross-Functional Management: Demonstrate ability to manage cross-functional projects and relationships at all organizational levels without direct authority
  • Program Development: Build and manage enablement programs from business case creation to execution, including roadmaps and communication plans
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $172,900 - $230,500 per year, based on the location and industry standards. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
