About the Role
This exciting opportunity is part of the Arkansas Government Job, focused on promoting Arkansas industries and products, as well as industrial growth. The successful candidate will lead the activities of a professional staff, assign projects, offer input into policy interpretation, and provide recommendations to staff in decision-making processes. They will also review staff reports, compile findings into year-end activity reports, and participate in trade shows, seminars, workshops, business negotiations, and trade and investment missions to obtain industrial prospect and trade leads.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote industrial expansion within the State of Arkansas by establishing and maintaining personal contact with management representatives of businesses throughout the United States and overseas
- Research and make recommendations of specific Arkansas communities and companies through detailed, factual reports of economic, financial, employment, and other business and social conditions of the community or company
- Identify target sites for industries and make recommendations by accompanying prospects to Arkansas communities whose sites meet specific prospect criteria
- Provide technical assistance to prospects, clients, and communities to help resolve problems such as financing, state and local building codes or regulations, pollution control requirements, and employee training programs

Key Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of national and international industrial and marketing trends and patterns, industrial relations, business negotiation proceedings, principles and practices of marketing, research and analysis techniques and procedures, state regulations governing location of industry, geographical, economic, and cultural patterns. Additionally, they should have the ability to select, develop, and cultivate business prospects, analyze data and compile reports, interact with multi-cultural personalities, assign and coordinate work activities, and interpret policies and procedures.

Salary and Benefits
