Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, preparing patients for procedures, and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and obtain clinical history
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions to obtain desired results
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations
  • Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest
  • Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examinations
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded
  • Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures
  • Perform venipuncture and administer medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
  • Provide patient education and maintain records
Requirements
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a full-service Ultrasound department
  • ARDMS certified with completion of registry
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
