Job Description

The Registered Nurse assigned to the Float Pool will provide high-quality, age-specific care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in various units. The RN Float Pool will prioritize patient needs, communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prioritize age-specific care for patients
  • Evaluate patient response to implemented care and modify plans accordingly
  • Implement and direct care using the nursing process
  • Promote interdisciplinary care provision and open communication among patients, nursing personnel, physicians, and other relevant individuals
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • BSN preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License
  • 1 year of RN floor nursing experience in an acute care setting required
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
