About the Job:
A Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner and assists with interventional procedures.
The CT Technologist performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Mission, Philosophy and Code of Conduct of SolutionHealth.
Responsibilities:
Practices within the scope of practice of the computed tomography technologist as outlined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT)
Performs venipuncture
Prepares and positions patient for CT procedures according to the CT procedure manual.
Provides radiation protection to patient, staff, and self-according to prescribed safety standards
Records patient history, unusual conditions/limitations, and other information such as; exam time, room number, and technique
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology, Required
Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification Required
ARRT (CT) certification, Required
ARRT eligible candidates will be considered for hire with the expectation that certification will be obtained within 12 months of hire
Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
